Bull Moon Ride and Run is a one-of-a-kind, twilight event dedicated to supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Durham, NC. Participants choose to bike or run into the beautiful sunset at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.No Hammers Required.Strap on your running shoes or gear up your bikes to help us build a safe community for families in need of affordable housing. The Bull Moon 5K includes a section of the American Tobacco Trail and finishes in the heart of the post-race block party.Awards:
Top 3 Overall M&F and top M&F in these age groups: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+The Bull Moon 5K is one of the races in the Triangle Race Series. Complete just 4 of the races to qualify for Series swag and awards.
Ride into the sunset starting on Blackwell St on your choice of 6.5 or 12 mile bike rides that take you through Downtown, Duke University campus, old neighborhoods and finishing on the American Tobacco Trail which takes you back to where you began. The rides are hilly, but the pace is moderate to easy.
Your registration includes our fabulous post-race block party on Blackwell Street with music, dancing, beer and food trucks.
Schedule of Events
Friday 4-7 pm: Advanced Check-in & Registration at Omega Sports in New Hope Commons (5426 New Hope Commons Dr, Durham). Those who go to advanced check in do not need to wait in line and check in at the event.
- 5-7 pm: Event day check-in & Registration on Blackwell Street near DBAP
- 7:30 pm: RIDE start
- 7:45 pm: 5K RACE start
- 8-10 pm: Our fabulous post-race block party
